FAQ about IBC Valves
IBC tanks are commonly equipped with various types of valves to regulate liquid flow. A common option is drain taps with a simple on/off handle, often with a 60x6 thread. These taps are made of polypropylene plastic and are used for easy draining of 1000-liter IBC tanks.
To install a new valve, first ensure the tank is empty and clean. Unscrew the existing valve by turning it counterclockwise. Then attach the new valve by turning it clockwise onto the tank outlet, making sure the gasket is properly seated to prevent leakage.
Regular maintenance includes checking for signs of wear, cleaning to remove residue or buildup, and ensuring that gaskets are intact to prevent leaks. Proper care ensures safe and efficient use of the tank.
