Installation close to the hydraulic cylinder
For best performance, the load damper should be installed close to the hydraulic cylinder. In some cases, it can also be placed close to the hydraulic valve, but the hydraulic hoses to the damper should be kept as short as possible – preferably no longer than two metres.
It is also important to check any restrictions in the hydraulic system. If there are restrictions between the damper and the hydraulic cylinder, the damping function may be reduced. Therefore, these should, where possible, be placed closer to the hydraulic valve.
Automatic float position valve for improved damping function
This category also includes an automatic float position valve developed for Hultdins damping equipment. The valve helps evacuate pressure that occurs on the minus side of the hydraulic cylinder, which can improve the damper’s function.
The float position valve is installed between the minus side of the hydraulic cylinder and the existing tank line in the machine’s hydraulic system. It fits Hultdins load dampers and, like the load dampers in the range, is manufactured in Sweden.
